Rental Information

*Who can drive the rental vehicles?- Must have a valid Driver’s License. - Must be at least 21 years old.
*Do I have to have my own insurance?
-You must have full coverage insurance (comprehensive and collision) that transfers to the rental vehicle.
-Proof of insurance is required to rent, please bring your insurance card or account information with you.
*What forms of payment do you accept?
- Major credit cards that are in the Renter’s name (no pre-paid cards).
*Is a deposit required?
-A standard ‘authorization’ deposit is put on your credit card at the time of rental as a security deposit. The $200 security deposit is released once the vehicle is inspected by a rental representative at Cox Toyota
*Can I drop it off at another location?
-No, our vehicles must be picked up and returned from the same location.
*Is smoking allowed in the rental vehicle?
-No. In order to ensure that our vehicles may be enjoyed by everyone who rents we do not allow smoking in the rental vehicles. Damage & repair fees may apply if smoke damage is evident.
*Can I tow a trailer or boat with a rental vehicle?
-Yes. We allow towing within the specs of the manufacturer and if the vehicle has a factory installed hitch.
*Are there any limitations on where I can drive a rental vehicle?
-Toyota Rent-a-Car vehicles are allowed in the continental United States, Alaska, and Canada. The vehicles may not be taken to any other country.
*Can a pet travel in a rental vehicle?
-No. In order to ensure our vehicles can be enjoyed by all of our customers, including those with allergies, we do not allow the transport of animals.
*Can I leave my personal car parked at the dealership?
-Yes. Your vehicle may be parked on our lot during the rental period.
*Anything else?
-Rental contracts must be re-written every 30 days to remain valid.
*NOTE:
- We do not give full or partial refunds or credit on fuel.
- Must return vehicle at same fuel level (full) as when rented.
